The Girl's netball team travelled to Cookstown Leisure Centre this morning to take part in the Tri County Netball Tournament.
This was the girls first runout at a netball tournament, and they equipped themselves fantastically well. They played matches against Churchtown, Ballytrea and Donaghey. The girls scored 9 goals (Erin with 5 and Amy scoring 4) and the team conceded just 4 during the tournament which was a great return. Unfortunately, at critical points the girls just weren't clinical with their goal scoring and ultimately this cost them. Congratulations to Donaghey who were winners of the smaller school’s section.
Thank you to Barbara McKenzie from Bush Primary School for organising the tournament and to Rochelle Hurson and Lisa Bowman who umpired the matches.
The netball squad was- Isla, Emilia, Lana, Rebecca, Lori, Leah, Erin, Amy, Kezia, Emma and Rebekah.
