Engineering Week (P6 Farm Visit)
P6 Farm Visit for Engineers Week 2025
As part of Engineers Week 2025, our P6 pupils had the fantastic opportunity to visit Caleb Howard’s farm at Littlebridge. This visit allowed the pupils to gain first-hand experience of how engineering is transforming the agricultural industry.
Caleb and Morris from Lely guided the pupils around the farm, explaining how advanced engineering technology is being used to improve food production, enhance efficiency, and promote welfare. The pupils saw how automated milking systems, feeding technology, and innovative farm management solutions are helping to create a more sustainable and productive farming environment.
The visit provided a valuable insight into the role of engineering in modern food production, linking well with pupils’ learning in STEM subjects and demonstrating the real-world impact of engineering innovations.
A huge thank you to Caleb and Morris for taking the time to host our pupils and providing such an informative experience. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed the visit and left with a much greater appreciation of how engineering is shaping the future of farming.
The P6 pupils also really enjoyed their milkshakes!
