Netball Tournament at Sperrin College
Today, our Netball Team proudly represented Coagh Primary School at a tournament hosted by Lisa Bowman at Sperrin College. It was a fantastic event that gave our pupils the opportunity to showcase their skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
During the group stages, the girls played five matches—winning one, drawing three, and losing one. Their consistent performance placed them in a play-off match for third place against Donaghey Primary School. In a closely contested and exciting game, the final score was 1:1. With extra time unable to separate the teams, Coagh finished in a very impressive joint 3rd place.
The team’s only defeat came against the eventual winners, Woods Primary School, which highlights the high standard of competition throughout the day.
A special mention to our goalscorers: Emily with 4 goals and Amy with 5 goals. We are also thrilled that Lana was awarded Player of the Tournament across all teams—a wonderful recognition of her performance and effort.
