P1 and P2 take a Winter walk to the village postbox!
P1 and P2 pupils took their World Around Us learning to the next level with an adventure to the village postbox! After exploring the importance of postal services in the classroom, we decided to take a walk and put our knowledge into action.
Today, we took a lovely walk through Coagh to post our Christmas cards at the local postbox. The bright red postbox not only sparked curiosity among the children but also provided an excellent opportunity for discussion. We chatted about why the postbox is red and how we can tell when the postman will collect the letters from that postbox.
While making our way to the postbox, we had the wonderful surprise of spotting our local postman delivering mail. This real-life encounter brought much excitement and allowed us to see the mailing process in action!
Now, we wait in anticipation for the postman to deliver the letters to our houses in the coming days!
