P5/6 Pointillism Art Lesson
7th Feb 2025
Over the past week the pupils have been learning about the painting technique called Pointillism. It was first introduced by French Artists Georges Seurat and Paul Signac in the 19th Century. It was based upon the idea that the artist would apply tiny dots of pure colour and when viewed from a distance, these colours would all blend together to create the final picture. The children all really enjoyed using the style of pointillism to create their very own pictures. They had lots of fun using cotton buds to make make the point effect in their own pictures!
