Pancake Tuesday at Coagh Primary School
Today, all pupils from P1 to P7 had the opportunity to take part in making pancakes as part of Pancake Tuesday celebrations.
With guidance from teaching staff, pupils carefully weighed and measured the ingredients to create the pancake mixture, developing important skills in measuring and following instructions.
A huge thank you to Mrs Carleton, Mrs Moore and Miss Willis, who assisted the pupils and cooked the final pancake mixture, producing delicious pancakes for everyone to enjoy.
Judging by the smiles and empty plates, it is fair to say that the pancakes were a huge success! There may even be some eager helpers at home this evening when it comes to making pancakes!
The recipe used by the pupils was:
- 225g Neill's Self-Raising Soda Bread Flour
- 75g Caster Sugar
- 1 egg
- 300ml (½ pint) Buttermilk
Well done to all the pupils for their efforts, and thank you again to the staff for making this a fun and enjoyable experience.
