P1 and P2 are having a fantastic time exploring their new topic 'People Who Help Us' through structured play. Many children have taken on the role of a doctor, helping their classmates who are 'feeling sick'. In the sand tray, they have been investigating capacity by counting how many spoonfuls it takes to fill their 'medicine containers', while in the water tray, they've been exploring the concepts of full and empty 'medicine bottles'. The construction area has been buzzing with activity, with children building fire engines and creating beds for the teddy bears who are feeling unwell.
Through these activities, the children are developing valuable skills such as problem-solving, empathy, creativity, and an understanding of key professions. It's wonderful to see how much they are learning through play!
