Shared Education at Coagh Primary School (27th January 2025)

28th Jan 2025
It was great to welcome the pupils from Ballylifford Primary School and Derrychrin Primary School to Coagh this week for their second session of 'classroom-based' activities.

Unfortunately, due to damage caused by Storm Eowyn, Group 3 were unable to travel to the Ballinderry Rivers Trust as planned. However, this visit will be rearranged for a later date. In the meantime, Group 3 completed team-building activities at Coagh Primary School, which proved to be both engaging and fun.

Group 1 worked with Mrs McKay, focusing on the concept of dissolving. Pupils conducted experiments and explored how substances interact with water.

Group 2 were learning about surface tension with Mr O'Neill. The lesson introduced them to the impact of pollution on water and how it affects surface tension, sparking great discussions about environmental conservation.

These activities are part of the ongoing Shared Education Programme, where pupils delve deeper into their World Around Us topic on Lough Neagh. We look forward to seeing all groups continue to learn and collaborate in the coming weeks.
