Shared Education
Shared Education Continues (3rd February 2025)
This week, pupils from Coagh Primary School continued their Shared Education activities with Ballylifford Primary School and Derrychrin Primary School. The sessions provided another valuable opportunity for pupils to collaborate and deepen their learning on the World Around Us topic of Lough Neagh.
Group 2 and Group 3 from Coagh Primary School travelled to Derrychrin Primary School, where they took part in lessons on Water Tension and Dissolving. These hands-on experiments allowed pupils to explore scientific concepts in an engaging and practical way, helping them understand the effects of pollution on water and how different substances interact with liquids.
Meanwhile, Group 1 had the opportunity to visit Ballinderry Rivers Trust near Orritor. This trip provided an excellent insight into conservation work in the local area, as pupils learned about the efforts being made to protect and restore aquatic habitats. Seeing the work of the Trust first-hand was an invaluable experience, helping pupils connect their classroom learning to real-world environmental issues.
The Shared Education Programme continues to be a fantastic way for pupils to learn together, share experiences, and develop friendships across schools. We look forward to the next sessions and to seeing our pupils continue their learning journey.
