Well done to the Football team who competed in ‘Tri-County’ football tournament at Cookstown Leisure Centre this morning. The team played Donaghey, Ballytrea, Churchtown and QEII Pomeroy. Coagh have won this tournament for the last two years but the current team is adjusting to having to replace five P7 pupils who left last year. The team played some really good football winning 3 out of the 4 matches and narrowly losing a very competitive match against Donaghey.
The team scored 24 goals in the four matches conceding 10. The goal scorers were: Robbie-4 goals, Ben- 1 goal, Noah- 5 goals, Caleb- 1 goal, Seth- 2 goals, Daniel- 4 goals and Joshua- 7 goals.
Going into the second part of the tournament in a month the team is well positioned in second place. Well done boys!
