World Book Day
To celebrate World Book Day we are asking that each pupil brings a copy of their favourite book to school with them on Thursday 7th March.
P1-P4 Pupils will take part in a ‘show and tell’ session in their classroom when they will share with the rest of the class the reasons why they have selected this book as their favourite.
P5-P7 Pupils will write a review during Literacy on the book that they have brought into school. They will then record this review and it is hoped that these reviews can be compiled digitally into a Podcast.
Weather permitting the P5 Pupils will be visiting ‘Little Acorns Playgroup’ in Coagh. Each P5 pupil will select a book from the P1/2 class library or a book from home that is suitable for Pre School children. They will then have the opportunity to read with individual pupils at ‘Little Acorns’.
On Thursday 7th March all pupils should wear their full school uniform as normal.
On Friday 8th March, Jennifer Crooks will have our fortnightly ‘Book Club’ at 8.30am, 1.45pm and 3pm in the front hallway of the school. A selection of books suitable for children has been added to the growing collection of adult books.
